Our family law practice is run by Stacey Daily. Family law encompasses a wide range of issues both big and small which may be affecting you or someone you care about. These issues can be very difficult to navigate. They can have a huge impact on you and your family. We are passionate about family law and want to help you find a way forward.
We provide representation and support in the following areas:
- Separation & Division of Relationship Property
- Domestic Violence & Protection Orders
- Parenting day to day care & contact disputes
- Guardianship Disputes for example relocation of children, schooling disputes, medical disputes, name change
- Oranga Tamariki Proceedings or assistance (previously Child Youth and Family)
- Representation of children in Court proceedings (appointed by the Court only)
Legal Aid – You are important to us regardless of your financial situation and for this reason we provide legal advice and representation to clients who are eligible for legal aid. Amanda and Stacey are both Family Legal Aid providers and Family Legal Advice Service (FLAS) providers. To find out if you are eligible for legal aid or FLAS please use the financial eligibility calculator on the Ministry of Justice website, or contact Shelley at our office who can assess whether you can apply for legal aid.
Our fees – If you are over the financial threshold for legal aid or FLAS advice or otherwise not eligible, our fees are charged on an hourly basis and take into account the urgency and complexity of your instruction. Our terms of engagement contain further information about our fees and are available to you upon request. These are provided to all clients in advance of significant work being completed for you.
All fee matters are discussed with you in advance of, or during, our first consultation and payment arrangements are acceptable for some types of cases. Fees should not be a barrier to receiving legal advice and assistance.
Lets Work Together
As we are a specialist family law and employment law firm, we do not undertake work in other areas of law.
